Fairy Guardian - Makeover Ch6

 "Before we can do anything, you need a freshen up, and we need to do some labs." Anna walked off with those orders and Basil and I followed after her down a hallway past the state-of-the-art kitchen. I just wondered if this house was in elusion for my benefit. "Here we are," opening the door with a smell of a hospital room and greenhouse. That does not sound possible, but I can only give you what came to me right away. Moving quickly behind her, she says in her boss voice "Girls, I have a project for you." Grabs my arm with a tighter than necessary pressure. Yeah. I am not running away anymore. Where would I go. 

Two beautiful women walk towards us from opposite sides of the room. The girl on the right side that looked like a science lab had bright yellow short hair 'bob style' with green eyes. She had her lab coat on with tiny red heels. Her look to me was one of kindness with a big gulp of curiosity.  Giving her my warmest smile. She extends her hand to me, "I am Ember. Anna's resident scientist."

"This is Lily. She will be doing your...transformation." A gentle cute smile comes to her pink shaded lips, she says, "I am what Anna likes to call a Wonder Witch. I make the impossible possible for all things of taking care of the mind, body and spirit."  She had very long pink hair, green hazel eyes, and converse tennis shoes to go with a pink colored apron. Now looking at both women, they looked like twins or at least related. As if Anna could read my thoughts, "These girls are my twins that I took in after their family was killed. They are true assets, so be kind to them." Her bright smiled beamed at both of them.

"I leave you now in their loving hands. I have errands to run and Basil needs to get over to 'The Cathedral' to find anything on Fairy Guardians." Looked over to Basil and he turned green but caught be looking at lifted his chin and put on a brave face. Wonder why he does not want to go to church? Wait, do fairies have religion. Finding my voice, "Cathedral? Do you go to church here?" All of them looked at me like I lost my mind asking a stupid question. Note. Think about what you say before saying anything. Check.

Basil now with confidence restored in an uppity tone, "You're a sad human, you humans look everywhere for your God but we in the Fairy realm believe the Gods are all around us. You want to find them you go outside not to a building a Fairy built. The one place we, Fairies, store all of the known information is kept in 'The Cathedral.' It's where everything ever said, done, or happened within the realm is placed there."  Thinking of his superior tone bring out snarky and maybe, ok, a little spiteful, "Then why if this place holds all the gold nuggets do you not want to go there?"

He immediately flushed and looked away from everything and tried to get out the door, before Anna said, "He has a crush for a certain troll lady named Nora, who is the head librarian."  Fish guy was not out of the room before anything else could be said. I giggled to myself and looked to the twins who both shared a smile. "Ok. Now I am off too. Take care Carson. If you need me the twins know how to reach me." Her flowery scent of lavender and honey went with her. 

Twins now had their sights on me and it took everything in me not to squirm. "Lilly, you will take her first and get her cleaned up. I will run the test Anna was inquiring but I have some of my own that need to be done as well. Carson, is that the outfit you were almost killed in."  She became matter of fact tones and made me straighten up and look at my clothes for the first time since I woke up and sure enough it was the same clothes. It took everything in me not to lift my armpit to see if I smelled. In a very small voice, "Yes."

"Great. Lily after she jumps in the shower please get the clothes to me." Then with a dismissal she goes back to what she was doing before we arrived in there, I guess, workshop? With kind smile and hand to my back, Lily pushes me toward another door leading what I assume is the showers. Opening the room, it was more than a shower but a spa with all the bells and whistles. Pedicure stalls with massage chairs. Manicure desks. Showers that was now filled with steam. A bath with rose petals in it. A salon station and inside another room what looked to be a massage table. She gave me a look that said, yeah this is special. Pretty cool. For a barely paying my bills these services I could never afford. Heck. New life so far has it perks.

"Ready Cardon. Once we get going you might not like me as much. But trust me," putting her hands on each side of my cheeks. "I will make you the most beautiful and desirable human ever to hit the Fairy realm." Damn this stupid tears. Rolling down my cheeks on to her sparkly nails. "That sounds like a fairy tale." Slapping my one check, 'Then call me your Fairy witch."  Put her hand in to test the bath. "I am going to have you take a bath first to relax the body. Place your clothes in the basket by the door."

Now I am not a prude, I have been naked before with other woman, but it was a locker room to the YMCA pool. But when in Rome, I jump in and take my clothes off one piece at a time and toss them in the basket. Lily must have felt my discomfort because she made herself busy with the shower. While she looked away, I took a quick smell armpit check, and gagged. Wet hot burger joint garbage in the back smell. OMG. He smelled me. No wonder he says I was disgusting. Hurrying up and jumping in the tub before she had to smell me. 

"Ahhhh," and closed my eyes but must of fell asleep because a firm hand shook me a little. "Carson, time for the shower." My saggy eyes looked into her beautiful earth green eyes and came awake fast. Not even paying attention now that I was completely naked. She proceeded through a very tougher transformation. My hair was washed and rinsed three or four times, body washed was dumping a bucket of green goo on me but afterwards smelled better and felt more alert. Next it the best and worst experience of being massaged and at the same time have every hair not on my head removed. I mean ALL hair. Lucky for me it lasts for six months instead of three days with a wax job back home. 

Handing me a slight warm plush robe, texture was silk with cotton with a outdoor fresh smell. Yes. New Life is looking up. We went with sparkly blue colors for my feet and hands. Finally turning to my hair, and she pulled, pinned, and doused with so many products I thought my scalp would leak. Lily did not talk much, which I did not mind it allowed me to take everything that happened to me and reflect. This fairy realm is giving me, Carson Nobody, a chance and I was going to make the best out of it. 

"There and we are done. I do say that I am a miracle worker." Instead of showing me a mirror, she led me across the hall to a bedroom. "This will be your bedroom. My sister and I are also on this floor just done the hall. Anna picked out all the clothes for you and they are in here". Opening up a walk-in closet that would make any woman's heart skip a beat. Jewelry. Shoes of all kinds for any occasion. Dresses. Everything I could ever need. And her taste is impeccable. I look at Lily with are you serious face. She smiles, "When Anna is feeling generous her hearts only gives. My advice though." Lowering her voice into barely a whisper, "Try not to disappoint her." With that she puts her hand on my bedroom doorknob, "Ember will be waiting for you, so please be quick. It took me longer than expected but you cannot rush perfection." Taking one more look at her muse. Leaves the room and me to look back at all this wardrobe. A smile reaching ear to ear came on and felt real love for this job, someone is taking care of me. Not wanting for the new girls to hate the new arrival, I throw on a cute yellow summer dress and head across the hall. 

Before I get there another very hot man was coming down the hall, he was tall with blond shoulder length hair, silver eyes, and a expensive silk three-piece suit. Must be her boyfriend. Lucky girl. Turning away from him and grabbing the knob to the twin's workshop. A light skinned hand enveloped mine, "Carson. Right?' His honey toned voice with the smell of rich salt-of-the-earth fragrance. He pressed his body slightly behind me almost covering me and puts his other hand on the door. 'I wanted to introduce myself; my name is Hallious. Do you have second, I just needed to ask you something?"

Breathlessly, I mutter "Ember is waiting for me. I can find you later." I twist myself so I can see him, which was a mistake. The body heat of this tall man was pulling me in. If he was a boyfriend, no way was I losing this job because of attraction and my body betraying me. I firmly place my hand and push him away. Trying harder to sound like I do not want him to hold me close again. Definitely do not want to happen.  "If you want to talk to me. I am sure Anna can arrange a time for you. Now please excuse me." Turning back around and opening the door and moving inside.

My Dreamy follows me in the room and the Twins look around and at first shock comes and then both of them immediately bow. "Lily, Ember leave."  Both women immediately leave the room and close the door behind them. Now I am left with this strange man that is far too attractive for his own good. Probably linked to Anna. Possibly lose job because he cannot take a hint and now scared the twins. 

In my Anna inspired tone and turning back to him, he gave me a smile which did make me falter, why do the power ones almost have their own magnetism, and we fall at their feet. Somone like him would not give me the time of day, Lily must have turned this toad into at least presentable. "Who are you? Anna's boyfriend? I need this job and I am sorry, but I am not available." 

His smile disappeared and he was on me so fast it was a blur. One moment he was close to the door and the next he again had me between his two arms with a lab table behind me. That very silky tone came back, ok body was definitely on board and mind was fighting it. "I am here Carson not for my sister." Emphasis on sister like both him and I were thinking the same thing, "but for you. I have a proposition for you that I believe you cannot refuse."  He takes out something from his silk suit pocket and hands it to me, it was a tiny lip stick mirror. Looking up to the eyes, "Thanks."

I swear he was going to kiss me and this time I would not resist, in a changed hard tone, "Just to be clear I do find you utterly attractive and you are my type, but I have business here and business alone. Sadly, to say. Your brother is in danger and if you do not do what I ask....then," making a stabbing motion towards my belly. Pushing off the desk and now all business, "Carson, I need to you to monitor my sisters' activities and report anything unusual that happens around her or with you. I have spies everywhere, so if something is not disclosed to me from you then I will make life very hard for your brother in the human world. He might just not make it home." 

Big dose of ice bucket on what looked to be a promising hook-up, goes to show you I am only attracted to dirt bags. "How do I even know you know my brother." He turns to another pocket to a handheld mirror, and it showed my brother at college working on his computer. "I have a human person that can travel to the fairy realm briefly and take care of any problems in the human realm.  You, Carson, are now my number one problem. I need to report to me with her mirror everything you hear, see, or feel. I want to know if my sisters' farts wrong, I will know." Do fey fart? Is that even a thing?  Ok. Focus.

Before I could say anything, Anna walks in with Basil at her heels. "I heard you were here Hallious, how is the Crowned Prince getting along these days? Not too much trouble, I hope. Not harassing a guest in my own home." Her tone convened the political politician giving tough talk but nothing there was really no power on the other end. I slipped the lip stick mirror case in my dress pocket. 

Putting on this best fake smile and giving Anna a kiss on both cheeks. "You never told me your guest was breathtaking. You know how I love beautiful things."  I bit hard on my cheek to not say anything. I am not a friggin token to be passed around but I needed this job and my boss was dealing with a higher-ranking family member. Can you say STUCK. I grab his hand which shocked him, "Yes, he was making it known I was very welcome here in the fairy realm and wanted to introduce himself. I believe you said that you had to leave soon though." Looked up at him in my best BS smile. 

"Of course. I will see all of you soon." Michael now blocked the door with his massive body. "Hello brother. Here to cause chaos and destruction."  Hallious makes his way to his brother's side, "Not all of can hide under our sister's skirts." Before Michael could do any damage with the look on his face, point one for older brother. Crowned Prince is making his way down the hall. Then Miachel turns to me with at first a look I cannot decipher and then disgust quickly follows like he smelled a bad order.

"Lily worked wonders," and he turned down the hallway too.  Anna looked at me with a tired smile. "I think today has been a lot and I can thank Lily for doing a wonderful job. You can see Ember tomorrow, which I am sure she will have even more tests she would like to run. We will go over what Basil found at The Catherdal tomorrow morning after you see Ember. 

Everyone leaves and I sink down to the floor, put my head on my knees. My life just got more complicated.
