Fairy Guardian - Carson Ch23

Craning my neck around while I was being held by the most wanted Fairy in the realm. A Castle. No way. "Lett me down Damien!" Ignoring Anna's presence all together. Obviously, no prisoner. Unbelievable. This place was right out a historic romance novel that I love so much. Who does not like a brawn Scottish Lord rescuing the damsel in distress and taking her to his castle.

With huge stone blocks all around, steps leading upstairs to a banister, gigantic fireplace with a mantle above it with claymore swords, and right in the middle of the great hall a huge table. Yes, goosebumps. Really my mind should be feeling fear and trepidation, but it was awe. So cool. Always wanted to go to Scotland and Ireland and see the beautiful landscapes, culture, and of course the castles. Bucket list. Check.

"I take it you love my home. Many fairies like the modern amenities," giving a nod to Anna direction. "The fairies see human realm as the advanced ones, but I like it old school. Except for the bathroom, there I do care for indoor plumbing," putting his hand on my back, pushing a chair out at the end of the table, and giving the gesture to sit.

"Thank you Damien. I would love to sit," Anna's sarcasm and hurt for anyone to hear. Then taking a place on the long bench seating at the able. There was only one chair at the end of the table. Tension was palpable. "You're a couple? Anna is undoubtedly familiar with you," giving a look from her to him, "and not someone being held against their will." Poor Mike thinking he was saving Anna but actually betraying his country for nothing.

Both answered at the same time. 'Yes," from Anna and "Not for a while," came from Damien. Touching her breast and taking in a breath, Anna says, "Damien. We were taking a break. I told you I was coming back," pleading with him to understand, He glared at her, pinched his nose, and with a sigh stated, "Anna that was over a year ago. It was no loss to let you go," taking her hand to soften the blow. "But I do Thank you for coming now, it gave me the perfect opportunity to get my sister back."

She gave a face of loathing, "She is the reason I left. You gave her all the attention and what was left for me. I will tell you Damien. Nothing," Putting her arms together and pumping out her large breasts. A ploy I have seen many times He never even looked, "Netta will always be the number one fairy in my life. Period. You knew that going into it." Then he looked at her and he was started to go into shadow like a thought bubble burst in his head.

Took form again, "Anna, did you send my sister to the library? If you lie to me, I will know and kill you." His voice was coming in such darkness and danger. Putting my own hands over myself, trying to make myself smaller and invisible. No way did I want dark needle came to my mind with a shiver. Back was starting to itch.

Tossing her beautiful perfect long hair over her shoulder and giving him her sexiest look. "I did not tell her to go anywhere," then bringing down her gaze to manicured red nails. "I just told her that the Royal Library have all records of recorded births/"

Getting off the bench, placing those red nails on his chest, "I would never put your dearest sister in harm's way." Trailing her hands to the back of his neck, giving him a glimpse of her creamy cleavage, and moving her dream body against him. "Understand. I love your sister. Truly and would never want anything to happen to her. Promise. Cross my heart," putting her hands over her breasts to help his gaze reach down.

Instead of looking down, he pealed her away like an onion. Taking her hands off his neck and pushing her away with little more push than necessary. She stumbles but recovered. Kiddos to her in those six-inch heels. "You might not have told her to go Anna, but you knew she would leave to find more information. Basically, sending a little lamb to the slaughter."

Worry, fear, and something else. That is why I am here. Not a political game but a rescue mission for his sister. He really is making it hard to hate him. "Hal would never harm your sister. His mother would never allow it." Maybe should not have spoken but knew my words to be true. Damien saw something in my eyes and relaxed his shoulders.

"How did they even know she was connected to me? Or find her? When I find who took her? They are dead. Treaty or no treaty,' said in a deadly whisper that made me trembles. Would not want to be that fairy.

"Your sister sounds like a saint. How is she your sister? You little hallmark movie did not have a plus one in it," trying to lighten the mood and yes maybe deflect from Anna. I don't really like her personality, but she did save me. Anna taking my queue to get off who was responsible for his sister's little trip. "Netta was found in a cave when she was days old. Abandon. She is alive because of Damien," giving him a look of devotion. She had it bad. Why did she leave?

"He likes to take in all the outsiders, partiers, cast aways, deadbeats, and loners. They all have a place here." I could tell by the way she spoke, she put herself in that category. "But you're not any of those things. You have family, wealth, position, and secure place in society. Why did you seek him out?"

Sadness crept over her, "I always felt like an outsider with my family." Then anger, bitterness, and maybe a touch of madness. My mother came to mind immediately. I completely forget the baby swap her and I had. Clenching her fist, scrunching her face, and utter hatred, she said "And then to find out I was not even from here.  Human baby stuck in a fairy's womb to save you!"

In a huff, rushes away from both of us. Hearing her heels moving faster out of the room. Who could blame her? Getting off my seat to go after her when I wave of dizziness came over me. Hand on my head to settle myself. "Take it easy Cara," makes me sit back on the chair.

"Stanley. Stanley. Where is my damn butler?" Damien is yelling down the hallway. It was comical. All of it. Hearing rushing footsteps that sounded like flip flops coming behind me. "Sorry boss. Royal messenger pigeon dropped this off at the front gates." Then stops and looks down to me. "Ah what do we have a here. Lovely little swan. A beautiful, rare rose. A piece of pie ready to be devoured." Winks at me. Giggle started at my belly going all the way up. Laughing at him. He was not like the stuffy King's butler Alfred.

"Stanley, stop drooling on my guest." fondness was felt in his tone. Standley was unique. He had board shorts on with a Hawaiian shirt, huge muscular frame, and his eyes were two different colors. Blue and Black. Liked him immediately. Felt like when I met Draco. Good person or I guess fairy.

"What does it say boss?" Saving the words but still giving me the come heather look. Normally this would gross me but with Stanley made me smile. Natural flirt. How did he end up here?

Damien says in a voice with so much violence, good feelings falling away...

"The something you want, will not have any hands if you touch one hair on her head. Exchange will happen in one day. Meet at Avalon shores. Come alone. XOXO Your Future King."
