Fairy Guardian - Carson Ch31

Hetty makes her announcement about weddings and all the males in attendance. Wanted to be anywhere but here. You think that a bomb went off in the room with how fast all of them moved. Damien was the first to mist away, then Vian, Draco got up a quietly left the kitchen, and my soon to be hubs was about to leap. When a glance from me, he stayed in place. 

"Hal. It you're wedding too. We are both going through all of this process. Together," desperation was coming from me. Thinking back to my prom night and the scars it left me. Happiness was foreign to me. Something always came to wreck my life. It felt like a black cloud had a permanent place in my life. 

Hetty not picking up the tone of not liking wedding idea at all. Regina was looking at me with sympathy because she knows how much this hurts me. She was there picking up the pieces after my mother ripped my dress. My date never even showed up that night. It was a disaster. 

"Carson. The nice things about this wedding, it's in an hour. All the ladies here worked the last hours getting everything done. You just need to show up, say your vows, and party afterwards." The shear gut wrenching of anxiety coming to every part of me spread. I felt like my body was going through PTSD again. Gods, have not felt like this since getting sober. 

Regina piped in, "Carson. I know you hate any kind of formal gathering, and you probably preferred a simple marriage by justice of the pieces. But you are going to be Queen. Helena and I talked. We felt making it as quick and easy would be easier than a lengthy engagement." Okay. Breathe coming in better. I am not same woman that dove in Rock Lake a week ago. Giving myself a shake. Pulling my spine up.

"Ok. What do I need to do?" Smiles formed on all the beautiful fairies' ladies. 

"First, Hal is going to leave just to get his groomsman ready. And meet us in the ballroom. The wedding guests have been arriving all morning." Not wanting him to go and grabbing his hand. He gives me a squeeze back, and says, "Carson. Once the wedding is done. Your all mine."

Maybe just hearing his voice or his presence. Brought calmness to my heart. The fears melted away and the past with it. Could feel myself, one body part at time, start to melt. "Okay." Everyone also took a breath like telling me was the worst chore they had to do today.

Hal took off and then the world wind began. The treehouse went into bridal chamber. And dresses were sent in by Lily for me to take a look at, hair was being done, makeup applied, and shoes were chosen. I could have done all of this via magic, but every girl wanted to play a role in the happy day. Letting people, me was not horrible. 

Everyone was sitting on the round sunk in living room, and I did the dress show. Ohh and Ahh but one shined above all the rest. It was a silk dress that played my curves to every advantage and when you moved rainbow sparkles would be displayed. I loved it. Ok. Check one done. 

Hair was next, Lily tried different styles for the audience. Everyone thought my hair down with violet flowers woven in. I felt like Cinderella. Glass slippers were even presented. Check another thing done. 

As I was getting ready, the rest of the girls got dressed as well. Talia wore a beautiful full light orange dress that was tight on the top and flowed on the bottom. Ember and Lily decided to wear simple dresses that called to their different styles. One edgy and the other practical. Netta wore a black number that had wow factor. Girl is coming out of her shell. Hetty could wear a sack and be stunning, but she chosen a blue off the shoulder dress that was beautiful. My mother, not Regina or Queen but mom. She had been more a mother to me for the years we spent together.

"Mom, would you walk me down the aisle?" Tears forming and she was trying to not let them fall. "I would be honored Care Bear." Hugging each other and then backing away to look into each other. She looked radiant. 

Turning to the group, "I was hoping all of you could be my bridesmaids?" From having only Regina in my life that cared, to a room full a woman ready to be by my side. Felt humbling. Beautiful. The group came together in hug. Makeup had to be done again. Even Talia looks less bored and happier too. We all have a story. Our before pictures, but now we are making our own stories. Together. 

"Can you all give me a minute?" I want to just take some time to prepare myself. Ember, Lily, Talia, Hetty, Netta took there leave. Mom gave me a squeeze on my hand and said she would be in the kitchen waiting for me. Said thanks and took myself outside. Knowing my Nucca, was just on the other side of those trees. 

"Thanks for being there for me Nucca. I know that you are only a tree and this is pretty weird giving a speech to the forest but," just then a flash came and next minute I was locked up in a cage. 

Looking up from the bars.

"You thought to get away from me, but I now have you Carson," Anna said in a voice that did not sound like she was all there.
